This is a genuine part that is sourced directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with Husqvarna walk-behind lawn mowers. The idler pulley applies tension on the drive belt. It is an identical replacement for a damaged or a missing component that was installed on a new unit. Please be reminded that old part # 580364301 has been replaced with this new part # 587969201. This pulley will not have an adapter. This pulley is used on many models and some units require an adapter while some do not. If the center hole is bigger than the one you are replacing, you may need an adapter.
